The Old Waverley

The Old Waverley offers fabulous accommodation in the the village of Kyle of Lochalsh on the west coast of Scotland. The house is centrally located in the main street and can sleep up to four people plus two children. The accommodation consists of a double bedroom, a twin room and there is also a pull out folding bed suitable for children if needed. Weekly bookings are from Friday to Friday.

Kyle of Lochalsh is ideally located to explore Skye and the west coast of Scotland. Kyle lies close to the Skye bridge and gives easy access to the Misty Isle as well as the beautiful village of Plockton and the nearby Eilean Donan Castle and the Five sisters of Kintail. The house is located in the centre of the village and is less than five minutes walk from both the train and bus stations.

The Old Waverley was formerly a restaurant and this is reflected in the quality of the well equipped kitchen. The chef owner lives nearby and she offers tuition in cooking traditional Scottish food especially sea food and fantastic local produce such as salmon and venison. She is also happy to help you source the best in local ingredients and produce.

The village of Kyle has several restaurants, cafes and pubs close to the accommodation that offer a range of food from fish and chips to formal dining. Tourist attractions include boat trips to visit the local seals, kayaking, birdwatching, golf as well as swimming pool and gym and coastal walks with stunning views towards Skye.

The owner is originally from Holland and is happy to speak Dutch to any visitors that would like this.
